Hey, when debugging web stuff on the iOS simulator, I see that I can change the device going to the menu bar Hardware > Device. But I can't seem to find how to change operating system versions, I'm stuck with 8.2.
I'm sure this is super obvious for the iOSers and I would appreciate some pointers :)

In Xcode, go to Preferences and download more simulators. It won't get you every OS, but a pretty good selection.

Which leaves me confused since for example in my iPad I have 8.3, but my simulator is stuck on 8.2 and there doesn't seem to be an option in the downloads tab to download that version.
Are 8.2 and 8.3 the same thing regarding component versions?

Magically updating to yosemite and upgrading xcode made my simulator 8.3. It's actually removed 8.2 so I'll download it if I need it.

Yeah when you update your version of Xcode, you only get the latest simulator. You always have to download "legacy" simulators as separate downloads. this effectively means that you always need to download new simulators when you update Xcode.
