Hey! Most of the details are covered in T104746[0], T110231[1], and T92796[2]. As I understand it, the search API now offers order indices for redirected pages which we can take advantage of in the app. Previously, the order was not prioritized and this caused a poor search experience. The infamous example is searching for "obama" and getting "I Got a Crush... on Obama" as a top hit. You shouldn't see this behavior as of this release. Dmitry implemented the new functionality and can probably word all that better.
