Great to read! I took a look at the german comments, too. Between comments, that Wikipedia is simply awesome, there is really positive feedback to the nearby feature :) it's really nice to read them.
Great work for this incredibly useful milestone!

Since we released Nearby on Android, there's been a lot of positive reviews flooding in! See some of them below. People are using Nearby when they're out and about, to learn more about what's near them, just as we intended. One person even commented that he teaches his kids using it!
Great work team. :-)

Check out the new Nearby function in the menu...dynamic directional arrows in addition to the the content we've come to expect. Helps answer all the questions from the kids!Great feature that you can now super easy to find products from nearby objects. A completely new experience for exploring the surrounding area
This app's been much improved in recent versions. The "Nearby" feature is a great way to learn about attractions and architectural features in your area.
Really Recommend App.. Nearby features is really good..LOVE WIKIPEDIA... With its nearby feature, just getting better and better...--

The suggestion part is too slow for production, however the confirmation of
existing properties can in principle go live (pending a consultation with
Ori next week). Please review!

I have a lot on my plate so I can't test this feature very much right now,
but I want to say thank you for responding to community requests for this
feature.

Good news, everyone! We've just released a new production version of the
Wikipedia Android App to the Google Play Store. Here are some of the major
highlights:
- Nearby: Learn more about what's around you by getting links to articles
about things that are near your current location. (Location services are
used only by this feature)
- Added a one-time Table of Contents tutorial screen.
- Rolled up "page issues" boxes into a link that shows them as a popup
dialog.
- Rolled up disambiguation links into a single link that shows them as a
popup list.
- Frequently-used languages are now kept at the top of the list, for easier
selection.
- Improved page loading speed and data usage by using compression in
network requests.
- Updated language translations.
- Numerous miscellaneous bug fixes.
As always, you can download the app through the Google Play Store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.wikipedia
...or download the APK directly:

Here's a quick first draft of a mobile article preview gadget:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Brion_VIBBER/mobile-sidebar.js
This shows the currently viewed page on the mobile view in an <iframe>
sidebar, and captures link navigation within the iframe to navigate on the
desktop window as well.
To enable add to your ~/common.js:
mw.loader.load('
https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?action=raw&title=User:Brion_VIBBER/m…'
);
Todo:
* add an on/off switch
* fix width to adjust for scroll bar if visible
* make a couple common sizes selectable instead of just 320x480?
* figure out how to apply this to edit previews? (is this even feasible
without API changes?)
* fix edge cases with the navigation detection
* pretty it up
* enable as a gadget on some major sites
