According to our Accountant, we've made $620 in payments in June for
the phase 1 of PGIP. Are there any illustrators who feel they haven't
received correct payment? Feel free to contact me off-list and we'll
work it out.
I'll separately launch an RfC on ideas for what to do with the
remaining money - we may decide to give it another shot in a different
form, or to return the money to the donor.

Hi,
As I hinted previously, if you have ideas about how the project might
be able to run more effectively, please do raise them.
I have written up a few of my thoughts about why so far it has not
worked very well. It is at

Did anyone ever receive payment for their contribution to PGIP Round 1?
Has anyone heard anything from the co-ordinators?
Just looking for an update.

Hi all,
Two new images for your perusal, both by Stefan Weber. I think Stefan
is also new to Wikimedia, so welcome, Stefan.
R1-28 - Cone clutch
https://jira.toolserver.org/browse/PGIP-54http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Cone_clutch.svg
R1-30 - Császár polyhedron
https://jira.toolserver.org/browse/PGIP-56http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Csaszar_polyhedron.ogg
This is our second OGG animation, very different to the first one
<https://jira.toolserver.org/browse/PGIP-26>. I am really impressed by
the animators' creativity and skill.
To be honest, for animations I thought people would do animated GIFs,
those awful things. :)
For OGG animations it is a bit more difficult to judge the "correct
rendering" aspect, because MediaWiki's in-browser OGG player is not as
robust as its SVG rendering, from my observation. (I can't even get
the videos to play at all because of some Java thing...)
Anyway for the OGG animations I think the best way to evaluate them is
after downloading them and playing them on your own machine. If you
have trouble playing this format, I strongly recommend VLC media
player, available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

Hi all,
Would people find it useful if I post a link to this list, when an
image is submitted for review?
I can post the link to the image and also the link to its JIRA page,
where comments about quality and accuracy can be left.
I'm happy to do that but will people find the list becomes too "noisy"?
