Perhaps you are already aware of this new upload tool by Yarl:
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Pattypan
Arne Wossink of the Dutch chapter (WMNL) recently gave a workshop in
Utrecht, The Netherlands. Pattypan proves to be a handy tool at least for
small uploads (don't know a limit, might be slow though), with some
advantages over GWToolSet, but not all of its capabilities:
- no URL needed for the uploadables
- no need for conversion of the metadata to XML
- no upload permissions needed (!)
The metadata templates Artwork, Information, Photograph are available by
default, it seems other templates can be implemented by the user.
Pattypan creates a spreadsheet for your directory with uploadable files,
which can then be filled with metadata. So Pattypan is an improvement over
Vicuna, also by Yarl.

>>> [3] Some thoughts on the GLAM-Wiki Strategist Role

>>>
>>> What I hope to do:
>>>
>>>
>>> * Help lead efforts to evaluate and improve our GLAM-Wiki

>>> * Where does our community of GLAM-outreach leaders need the most

>>>
>>> * What are the greatest technology barriers preventing the creation

>>> * How can we help a greater range of Wikimedia volunteers participate

Does anyone know what this error indicates? When I get to the stage of
previewing uploads on GWT, I get a page with just this:
Exception encountered, of type "Wikimedia\Assert\ParameterAssertionException"
I've tried swapping around parameters and I'm using the most basic
information template, which takes very few parameters anyway. The
upload is explained at
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Batch_uploading/Codex_Aureus
Thanks,
Fae
