Welcome back to the internet, Brian.
Your candidacy was forwarded to the tellers; they should be able to
confirm that they have received it, if they haven't already.
The deadline for candidates is Friday 9th April (23:59), so there's
still time for others (like you, the person reading this email) to
put themselves forward.
Mike
Thanks Mike!
I'll drop an email to the tellers.
Let's not go into what it is like having very restricted 'net access.
I've been online over 20 years, any outage is like having a limb
amputated.
As I've mentioned privately, and will now declare to the
list/membership, I'm working with a Telefonica O2 partner/outsourcer, as
the WMF has deals with them I thing this should have some good synergy
(god, I hate that word), I see more pros than cons with having a WMF
member within an ISP who's on good terms with them. And, as mentioned, I
want to see Scottish membership built up; I'd like to forge close ties
with the National Museum of Scotland, the parliament for Gaelic stuff,
and so on.
I want to see WMUK membership open doors, and get you usually 'secret'
contact details. I believe several museums have been convinced working
with WMUK is in their interest, I want to put a Scottish face on that.
