Subject: [Wikimediauk-l] FDC recommendations for funding
Dear all
As many of you will know, Wikimedia UK applies every year to the Wikimedia Foundation for
an Annual Plan Grant to support our charitable activities. Proposals from the UK and other
Chapters are considered by the Funds Dissemination Committee (FDC) who make
recommendations to the Foundation's board for final approval.
Following our proposal submitted at the end of September, the FDC has recommended that
Wikimedia UK is supported with a grant of £297,500 for 2016/17, which is 96% of our total
request and an increase on the amount received for the current financial year. We are very
pleased with this recommendation, and I would like to thank all the staff, board members
and volunteers who inputted into the development of our plans for next year and the
funding proposal. The team and I look forward to working with many of you on the delivery
of our programmes next year!
You can read the FDC's assessment here:

Best wishes
Lucy
