Hello all,
I'm very excited to share that Thursday, July 12th is GLAM Night Out at the
beautiful Newseum in Washington DC.
Consumer Reports, thanks to their recent partnership with Wikimedia and
their Wikipedian in Residence Lane Rasberry, has partnered with the
GLAM-Wiki US community to throw a fabulous party at the Newseum on the
first evening of Wikimania.
This will be the launch of the GLAM-Wiki US Consortium, a forthcoming
network of GLAM professionals, organizations, and Wikipedians. The event
includes a reception and networking event for Wikipedians, GLAM
professionals, and other nonprofit and media professionals, followed by a
media panel discussion on conflicts of interest in science and medicine.
We encourage all Wikipedians involved in or interested in GLAM to attend.
This will be a fun time to connect with the GLAM-Wiki community and network
with GLAM professionals and beyond.
