Open call: OpenRefine-Wikimedia train-the-trainer course, November 2023-April 2024

Dear all, From November 2023 until April 2024, there will be an intensive online train-the-trainer course <http://c:commons:OpenRefine/Train-the-trainer_program_2023-24> for candidate OpenRefine-Wikimedia trainers. Do you want to help spread knowledge about OpenRefine, support Wikimedians and their partners (cultural and other knowledge institutions) in using OpenRefine to contribute to Wikimedia Commons and other Wikimedia projects? LD4 Wikidata Affinity Group: Summer/Fall Wikidata Working Hour Series Second Session August 28th!

Greetings, everyone – Over the summer and into the fall the LD4 Wikidata Affinity Group<https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:WikiProject_LD4_Wikidata_Affinity_Gr…> will be offering a series of Wikidata Working Hours<https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:WikiProject_LD4_Wikidata_Affinity_Gr…> to give folks an opportunity to try out various Wikidata-related skills and tools by assembling a data set of diverse library and information science (LIS) materials (articles, conference proceedings, books) and adding it to Wikidata. Wikidata Working Hours provide hands-on Wikidata experience in a supportive space. We hope you will join us if you are interested in learning more about Wikidata, exploring LIS literature, and have been looking for a fun Wikidata project to contribute to. The second Wikidata Working Hour in the series will cover adding the articles from our bibliography of diverse LIS resources <https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1YZjaD5l9hZPLiGRx6oqS7-dwy_d3M3-FDtJ…> that we created in our 1st session to Wikidata! We will learn how to use Zotero, the reference management software, and its browser plugin<https://www.zotero.org/download/connectors> to automatically extract metadata for articles and convert them to a Wikidata format that can be batch uploaded using QuickStatements.
