Hi all,
As for me I do not mind whether there are names or no names, this is about just what you have to say and what you have seen and experienced while in WikimediaKE,your opinion. It is not a survey into your privacy or something in that line and if anything I believe that no one will hold anything against you because of your opinion.Wikimedia Kenya is Democratic and kindly air your views because we better get going. But if anyone really feels that they do not want their name to appear, then let it be.It is their opinion and democracy in action.I see it simple that way.
For instance, I had the previlege of leading one of the teams during the pilot and on that note I would be happy to learn about the area that I did not do my best if there is any.Am human and am not limited to commit errors. It is a learning experience guys.
I propose that to ensure no one fills the form more than once we should employ honesty for now.
I have already finished completing the survey who is next?

I totally agree with you Chris. However, I think the issue here is not whether or not we should have a name field, but rather the fact that I
have
access to the names which jeopardises the concept of privacy and the possibility of participants not opening up.

Greetings, the name field is quite an important part of this survey so as to prevent individuals from participating more than once since we currently lack a way of preventing such. However, these names shouldn't be revealed to anyone after the survey or when the results are being released. It is an important ethical rule when conducting a survey to protect the information given by your respondents. In case the team requires extra information regarding the survey i.e data analysis or interpretation, all be more than glad to help. Happy Easter to all. Riwa

I initially didn't put the name field, but I thought it was important

prevent one from participating twice.
I also don't mind it open. Do you guys want it open, or should I
remove
the name field totally?

Then I think the whole idea of privacy doesn't make sense if this is the case.
Personally I'd prefer if the whole thing was made open including the names but if guys aren't comfortable with this, the name field should be removed.
Alex.

For privacy reasons, I will not mention any names when displaying
the
results.
Are you able to see the names of the survey participators yourself?
