[Mediawiki-l] Writing my own javascript

Hey,
I have written my javascript code in common.js but still it is not working,
I tried writing in monobook.php also but same result.
Basically, I want to have a toggle effect  on some content, like as in faq,
click on question, to show the ans, again click, ans will be hidden, how to
do it.
