[Mediawiki-l] Error 404 after installation

Thanks for your help. The index.php is definitely in the right  
folder, and I'm definitely typing the right URL. (It's the same URL I  
used to run the configuration script.) However, I just noticed  
something important: The request for index.php first redirects to  
Main_Page and *then* gives the 404 error. Does that help?
