I very much doubt that it will be possible to successfully mantain a
female-only mailing list. Since this is the internet and anonymous by
nature, positively identifying the gender of a would-be subscriber will be
very difficult. How can you ensure that males will not sign up to your
mailing list? The only way that you could know for sure is if men started
posting sexist comments on the ML (which would nullify what is ostensibly
the whole point).
