Is this only a GLAM wiki WiR panel? ________________________________ From: Pierre-Yves Beaudouin pierre-yves.beaudouin@u-bordeaux.fr Sent: Thursday, March 16, 2023 6:44:05 PM To: Wikimedians in Residence Exchange Network wren@lists.wikimedia.org Subject: [Wren] Re: WREN or GLAM Wiki panel for Wikimania?
This email was sent to you by someone outside the University. You should only click on links or attachments if you are certain that the email is genuine and the content is safe. Hi all,
I don't know yet if I will go to Wikimania this year, but my colleague Hugo Lopez will go. We are part of a project from the Ministry of higher education and research: the ministry is funding 3 WIR per year in 3 big universities + 1 coordinator at Wikimédia France. This project started last month.
And if I come, I can also organize a WikiCheese session ;)
Best, Pyb

I’d be happy to be involved. The two distinctive angles I have to offer are that 1) my residency is now explicitly about culturally diversifying Wikimedia projects- not just about the host institution’s collections. 2) using Wikidata queries to support my work on Wikipedia, e.g. to find translations into other languages of articles I’ve written. https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/User:MartinPoulter/queries/khalili

Hi all,
I'd be interested in joining this panel to talk about Wikimedia Australia's residencies.
There's a bit about a residency I did last year here: https://wikimedia.org.au/wiki/Wikimedian_In_Residence_Wrap_Up
Cheers,

Hi Flo & all,
I would be very interested in collaborating on a shared proposal to Wikimania this year. A panel seems like a great idea.
I have not been very involved on the listserv and with the WREN group (apologies!), but as a refresher, I work with the CCCC Wikipedia Initiative to engage scholars in writing studies (i.e. rhetoric, composition, technical communication, literacy, and language studies) to edit Wikipedia as a form of public scholarship.
Cheers,
Savannah
