Speaking of which, I couldn't attend an event and I'm not sure if there was anything available at the event... is there anyway I could obtain such merchandise?

-Jeremyb Yeah, I don't think we need to do anything immediately, but we should probably start planning, since there has been very little activity lately on the site. --

This is a generic problem. There are many "temporary project" or "fixed life" wikis (not necessarily a bad thing, they provide focus). There will be more in future. Hence cross-posting this thought here.
Maybe a subdomain "archive.wikimedia.org" could be set up, with old closed wikis marked as non-editable and moved to subdomains of this, and an index of archived wikis available on the front index page? So when it's no longer in use, "ten" would end up at "ten.archive.wikimedia.org" (with the old domain redirected) and be readily located by anyone interested future.

Thanks for the idea FT2, and to everyone who commented so far.
Hi all - if you have merchandise related requests, please send them to me for the time being with a CC to Steven Walling. I'm taking over the distribution of merchandise and reviewing a process for sending out merchandise going forward (whether it's for WP 10 or other projects in the future).
Some of your requests may have resulted in package returns to us due to customs issues. I can sort those out for you.
Thanks, jay walsh
