WWC survey and Meetup in Wikimania

Dear all! We hope this email finds us very well! It seems incredible but WWC finished three weeks ago! Hopefully we will meet you in Wikimania in a few weeks! This time we would like to ask you to answer this survey <https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfkP4NvY6Dj0Lrsuzy-jQ6EyxusmskUzuw…>. It aims not only to give us feedback about the meeting, but also to analyze your opinions, ideas, future projects, etc. Feedback is important for two reasons: 1. In the first place, we believe that WWC was the first step of a long road. Having your feedback will be very useful for future events :) 2. We want to continue working together! For this reason we are organizing a Meetup in Wikimania, on Friday 11 at 18h, room 5. For this meeting the survey is fundamental; we want to present main results in order to set up - hopefully- a first draft agenda, goals etc. for us as a group. Affiliate-led salon/meet-up for Movement Strategy

Hello dear WikiWomen Camp participants, Thank you again for an inspiring weekend in Mexico City. It was a privilege to learn from old and new friends. As mentioned during our Movement Strategy presentation, we are currently funding Wikimedia affiliates (Chapter and user groups) to host strategy salons/meet ups with local experts and (potential) partners. These meet ups could be meals and/or in-person hang outs. I would love to be able to fund meet-ups centered around feminism, intersectionality and how these themes relates to the health and future of our movement. Reports from scholarship recipients?

Hello, dear all new and old friends :) I have a question -- mainly to the organizers -- that may have been discussed somewhere, but I must have missed it: *Do we have to complete reports as scholarship recipients for the WikiWomenCamp conference, and where, in what format? * For instance for Wikimania for already several years we have to write such reports (example <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Wikimania/Scholarships/Reports/2016>), and I personally find it a particularly good way to share our impressions, work done in advance and at place, relations established, ideas conceived... and in the end of the day obtain a wider and more sustainable outcome of the event. :) One way or another, I will write such a piece for the annual report of our user group, but in case there is an already created template, I'd love to use it. :) Bests (and wish you safe trip back home to those who are still in Mexico), Vassia -- Imagine a world in which every human being can freely share the sum of all knowledge. Find someone to share a taxi with

Hello everyone, Many of you are about to begin your travel to Mexico City. This is so exciting! If you would like to coordinate with another participant to share a taxi from the airport, you can check the spreadsheet below to see if someone else is arriving around the same time as you are. I did not include email addresses because I don't know who is comfortable sharing that information, but you can coordinate on this email thread, or find the person you'd like to travel with in the Telegram group. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-uD6ZsHjYEx_mOlhxrPuH-JU42_HBXxvECL… Remember, you can get reimbursed for travel to and from the airport, so take a photo of your taxi receipts (just in case you lose them). We have found a great Wikimedian, Harmonia Amanda <https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/User:Harmonia_Amanda>, to lead a session about Wikidata since so many of you expressed interest in learning more. However, it would be great to know what specifically you'd like to learn! She can give an overview of the basic uses of Wikidata and how you can apply it to your work addressing the gender gap. She can also review a number of tools that work with Wikidata. Travel Insurance

Hello travelers, If your flights were paid for by WMF you are covered by WMF's travel insurance policy. To my knowledge, the insurance only covers health related issues - if you are concerned about your property, you should purchase your own travel insurance policy. Attached is the travel insurance guide and policy numbers, if you need them. Below are instructions on how to use the card, and other helpful travel information. *We STRONGLY recommend not checking baggage*, but if you must check your bags, pack medication and a change of clothes in your carry on. *If you need to change your flights,* contact T&T travel. Monday - Friday 8:00 - 18:00 Pacific time:1-888-251-2033 Emergency after hours, including saturday and sunday: 1-888-734-8298 >From Mexico: 001-800-734-8298 International: call collect to 1-402-399-4667 *How to use travel insurance:* 1. Always carry your UnitedHealthcare Global Assistance ID card <https://office.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:UHC_Global_Travel_Insurance_ID_Card.…> when traveling. Expatriates are covered on a full-time basis while on assignment. (If you are injured while you are working, the claim may be covered by worker's compensation - ask benefits associate for more information) 2. If you suffer a medical emergency, go immediately to the nearest physician or hospital without delay and then contact UnitedHealthcare Global Assistance. 3. For help with medical, travel, and security problems, call UnitedHealthcare Global Assistance using one of the country-specific toll-free numbers printed on the back of the card. If you are in a country not listed, call the Emergency Response Center collect (1-410-453-6330). 4. A multilingual Assistance Coordinator will ask your name, your organization's name, your UnitedHealthcare Global Assistance ID number (shown on your ID card) and a description of the situation. 5.
