Hi
I noticeced that Parsoid API cannot support language variant (e.g. simplified Chinese in mainland China (zh-cn) v.s. traditional Chinese in Taiwan (zh-tw) ) - they both hosted under zhwiki.
Do you have any plan to support them? and what's the rough timeline?
Thanks

Will this idea make en-UK, en-US, en-SA, etc., practical as well?

I would like to eventually support these. It's not clear that there is consensus on that point, though. --scott

We do have plans to work on them, it's covered a little on the roadmap: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Parsoid/Roadmap#Basic_language_variant_suppor... There's also an open bug on this issue tracking the development: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41716
That said, it's difficult to set a timeline for when language variants will be fully supported.
Best, Marc
Thanks

Marc, thanks for the roadmap link.
It's not clear which year of "Q2/Q3" (it looks like 2013?)

The year is the Wikimedia Foundation planning year, 1 July - 30 June (i.e., Q2 is 1 September 2013 – 31 December 2013, and Q3 is 1 January 2014 – 31 March 2014).
Sorry for the lack of clarity.
