This month, we will focus on the role the Wikispore community can play in
bringing together official Wikimedia and unofficial community projects in
the current information crisis:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_COVID-19https://covid19relay.org/wiki/Covid19Relay
... and other projects as well!

Hi Wikispore friends,
Here are some notes from the February online meeting:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikispore/February_2020
The March online meeting is scheduled for a week from now, Sunday March 22,
at 6PM New York time.
What would you like to follow up on from the Feb meeting, and what new
things should we put on the agenda for next week?
Let's figure out how we can best make use of COVID-19 downtime by sprouting
productive new projects from the work-at-home situation, that many of us
are finding ourselves in.
Thanks,
Richard

Hi spore fans,
What times are good for you for a call in March?
Please fill in your availability here:
https://doodle.com/poll/8nzkgubm8gt6miiy
We want to have this call be at a more convenient time for Europe / Africa
/ West Asia!
Thanks,
Richard

The Wikispore 1st global meetup will be this Saturday Feb 29, at 9pm
Eastern Time, per our doodle poll:
https://doodle.com/poll/wc8cr2u4ddc6a5wz
I'm going to try to gather a small group in NYC for an in-person meetup
(maybe at a bar), and we can video in to our global colleagues for the
conference call!
Thanks,
Richard

I'd like to invite folks to help pick a time for the first monthly video
meeting of the Wikispore project, maybe this thing should be a Wikimedia
User Group!
The plan is to have the meeting sometime in the second half of February,
share your preferred times here:
https://doodle.com/poll/wc8cr2u4ddc6a5wz
We'll probably also have an in-person meetup in New York City in late
February too, if possible coinciding with the global one.
Thanks,
Richard

I'd like to share this current events page for the Event Spore, covering
Word AIDS Day, which is on Sunday December 1:
https://wikispore.wmflabs.org/wiki/Event:World_AIDS_Day_2019
Would like to encourage anyone interested to edit and expand this page
before Sunday, when we will promote it a bit, and to make it more complete
and have better coverage outside the US.
(You have to register a new account on Wikispore, you can just use you
Wikimedia username, but for security reasons use a different password. We
will merge the accounts later.)
Once you have a Wikispore account, I also invite you to sign our Guestbook:
