Three days left! This is also about new user groups and thematical
organisations for individual projects, so forwarding.
(Plus, it's been a while since our last all-projects mass-crossposting.

You might remember some previous messages on the topic:

A few days ago, as a test, I fetched the ISBNs on fr.quote and en.quote
and created some accounts/lists of their books.
For instance: <http://www.goodreads.com/frwikiquote> and
<http://www.goodreads.com/enwikiquote> allow us to have some easy fun
with stats on quoted books.
From en.quote's perspective, compared to French:
Wikiquote francophone > Compare Books
Wikiquote's books: 2575 (1795 not in common)
Books in common: 780 (31.19% of your library and 30.29% of their library)
My books: 2501 (1721 not in common)
And to Italian:
Wikiquote > Compare Books
Wikiquote's books: 7403 (4938 not in common)
Books in common: 2465 (98.56% of your library and 33.30% of their library)
My books: 2501 (36 not in common)
From Italian to French:
Wikiquote francophone > Compare Books
Wikiquote's books: 2575 (1700 not in common)
Books in common: 875 (11.82% of your library and 33.98% of their library)
My books: 7403 (6528 not in common)
Italian seems to quote all the books that English does, plus many more;
a third of fr.quote's books are quoted also on en and it.
Sadly, for some reason fr and en have a very little amount of ISBNs in
their pages, while I expected fr to be very complete (given how many
citation templates they use) and of course en to have more stuff given
that they have more pages (perhaps they're not about books but something
else, I don't know).
German and Polish had a negligible amount of ISBNs, I didn't check the
others.
I think more publicity of Wikiquote could be done on those booklovers'
portals, but I can hardly manage the Italian accounts and adding more
good quality data is time consuming. I've offered the accounts to the
communities, if nobody wants to take care of them I'll delete them:

Greetings,
The Wikimedia Foundation is planning to upgrade MediaWiki, the
software powering Wikipedia and its sister sites, to its latest
version.
The upgrade will happen in several stages over the month, starting this week.
You can still help to test it before it is enabled, to avoid
disruption and breakage.
More information:

Hello everyone,
I am pleased to announce the beginning of Steward Election 2012 [1]. We are
now taking nominations from eligible candidates. Interested candidates can
check their eligibility and procedure to submit the nomination on the
guidelines page [2]. We are open to candidate submissions till January 28,
2012, 23:59 (UTC). Questions to the candidates can be submitted until
February 6, 2012, 23:59 (UTC). Guidelines about questioning can also be
found on our guidelines page [2].
This time we are also arranging the confirmation of existing stewards [3].
But the confirmation will begin on February 8, and will finish on February
27, 2012.
Please remember, the voting has not yet begun and will be not until
February 8, 2012, 00:00 (UTC). We will poke you once again when the voting
start.
As you all know steward election is a global event, so we need help from
volunteers to translate necessary pages into languages they speak. For
those who want to help us out with translation, please see our translation
portal [4]. And if you have any queries related to translation or anything
related to the election, you can ask us on the talk page [5]. Alternatively
you are free to poke us on IRC channel #wikimedia-stewards-elections.
For those who are a little bit surprised to see another election in few
months, I want to let you know that previous one (in September-October of
2011) was a special one which we arranged in need. This is the regular one
to elect new stewards and to confirm existing ones.
Please feel free to forward this e-mail to any list if you think it will be
useful. :-)
Regards,
Tanvir Rahman
