Upcoming Release
==============
On Wednesday April 23, 2014, a new version of Wikimetrics (0.6) will be deployed onto our Production Server. You can test this new version right now on our Staging Server and provide feedback. Should no major issues arise by Wednesday 12:00am UTC, we will proceed with the deployment during the day. We do not expect any significant downtime. Notes: any reports or other data on the Staging Server are subject to deletion without notice; your saved cohorts and reports on the Production Server will be preserved.

Changes in Wikimetrics 0.6
====================
- Scheduled Reports: You now have the ability to create reports that are updated around 12:00am UTC every day. Data will be generated the first time you run the report and then updated at the scheduled time.
- Public Reports: You can make a report public by clicking open the 'Lock' icon next to the report. Doing so will create a publically accessible file with a unique URL you can share. Making the report private again will remove the publicly available file.

This is great to hear. Public reports especially will help in sharing results of people's analysis.
Hi Kevin,
Thank you for your work on this! Will the ability to upload cohorts using a text box be included with the next update? I see that the field is available on the staging server.
Thanks! Edward

This sounds awesome!
Is there still going to be the CSV download option? I spent a few minutes poking around the staging server and didn't see that option when I created a cohort report with a public link. Or is that only for a private report?
Otherwise I may need a crash course on how to use JSON to import the data into my spreadsheets :)

Oops, the OAuth problem is a known issue, the consumer was registered with the wrong redirect for staging. I'll work on that tomorrow.
This sounds awesome!

The CSV link is not available for a public recurrent report. These are the reports that you make by checking the big note on the report creation screen.
There is a second way to make a report public. First make a normal non-recurrent report, then click its green icon from My Reports once it succeeds. The icon will turn orange and the lock will open. That means this report is public.
However, for now, public report links will be JSON. If you need CSV, please ask and we'll prioritize it :)

Yes, sorry I forgot to mention this to Kevin for the update note. And thanks to Teresa!
You can use google to log into staging.

Yep, Erik and most others I think know that. But it's been annoying that OAuth was miss-configured there. I just submitted the consumer for approval and emailed Chris/Dan about it. It should be resolved shortly. _______________________________________________ Wikimetrics mailing list Wikimetrics@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikimetrics
Ok, OAuth is working on the staging server, so that takes care of any issues reported so far. Have a good weekend and let us know if anything else comes up.
