Hi there Wikimetrics fans,
I wanted to get some input on a proposal to add a "pages edited" metric to
Wikimetrics (see this story
<https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Analytics/Wikimetrics/Stories#User_reports_p…>
).
This was proposed because "Articles Improved
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Learning_patterns/Number_of_articles…>"
is one of the new Grantmaking Global Metrics
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Learning_%26_Evaluation/Global_metri…>,
and there's currently no way to get the # of pages that were edited by the
members of a cohort through Wikimetrics.
As we've scoped it, this metric would be listed along with the other
available metrics on https://metrics.wmflabs.org/metrics/. Any Wikimetrics
user would be able to run this metric for reports the same way they would
run any other--they can filter by pages edited in a particular namespace,
date range, retrieve individual and aggregate results, etc. It would also
be possible to get the # of pages edited across different projects for
CentralAuth cohorts.
What do y'all think: does this sound reasonable and useful?
Best,
Jonathan

Hello,
Yes, I apologize you are facing difficulty with running reports. There have been some recent changes to the labs server that have been causing instability for the Wikimetrics tool. Although our analytics team has been working on it, I am forwarding this note to the wikimetrics list to let the team know your having issue as well and to loop you in for updates.
If you are not already subscribed, I suggest subscribing to the list so you will get messages in the future about issues that sometimes come up and can report directly to the support team able to help.
You can subscribe at:

Thank you for your patience.
Best regards,
Jaime

Hi folks,
I hope you can help me with an issue on Wikimetrics. I had my first
experience with it yesterday trying to get some numbers from an editathon.
I can't find a report option for files uploaded on commons. I have tried
edits and pages created but both didn't give me any results.
Can anyone help with it?
Thank you!

Hello Wikimetricians,
I noticed a small bug the other day that might surprise a user momentarily:
when you upload a new cohort, once the cohort is validated, the "Create
Report" button does not always appear next to the "View Members" button:
But if you refresh the page, the button appears:
You could also work around the missing button by clicking on the "My
Report" link in the top black ribbon and clicking the blue "Create New
Report" button on that page.
I've created a bug report on the Community-Wikimetrics project in
Phabricator, if you want to track the progress of the bug there:
https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T95456.
Hope this fyi helps avoid some confusion--
Best,
Amanda
