Thanks steve, Today we were trying 2 capture animals in their natural setting n how they interact. Mai mahiu has one of kenyas greatest escarpments abt 9kilometres long,we were playing wit camera 2 c if we culd capture Gods handwriting in film.
You should also consider reading about the upcoming Wikiloves Monuments photography competition at [2] below. If I may ask, I would really like to hear of how the event at Mai Mahiu went, or rather what it involved.
Also see the Wikimedia media files repository at [3].
regards, Stephen.

Hi Caroline,
Good to see you volunteer there.
From journalist point of views, could you advise us on the viability of the project? Could you also like help /hook us with some Photo and Film Journalist that you know (lecturers perhaps that would sit on the jury for judging the photos? Otherwise thanks once again

Hi Team,
That would be awesome. So the Plan Lodewijk and I talked is like
this(
Not
exactly , but my thoughts and suggestions added)
- We hire a travel van with a tour guide
- we get interested tourists and journalists to sign up to be
part
of
the Guided Museums and Monuments tour of Nairobi 3. We make them take photos with the tour guide explaining all the symbolism and significance of the Monuments. We could make a
video
of
the same tour (am working with some other external folks to
finance
this)
- they agree either to submit or surrender some of their best or
all
photos of the monuments under CC-BY-SA licence or to us WMKE which
wil
get
them into the Wiki Loves Monuments Competition to stand a chance
to
win
some cool prizes that we need to work on, We could try get some external folks onboard too (Samsung, Safaricom, etc) 5. kabooooom, WML done with all the Nairobi Monuments with their articles and a cool video too of all the monuments :-)
So Once again, am calling on anyone who is interested in this simple
plan
to volunteer in some way to sign up here.
PS: WMZA have a very ambitious budget and plan for the WML, abt $60k
USD
:-)
Just to get jealous

Hello!
Yes we can.
Today I had the privilege to attend an expo <
at
the Sarit Centre in Nairobi Kenya that drew exhibitors from the
Kenyan
IT
industry, Film industry,Universities etc. The most interesting and Wikimedian thing about the event is that I attended and I talked to
several
filming and media houses about the Wiki Loves Monuments plus
possibilities
of having their journalists involved or even contributing images
that
they
own.
Particularly, I spoke to filmbiz Africa, NTV and the Kenya Film Commission. They were very interested about Wikimedia and hopefully
they
would contact me in due course.
