So, for those new to Wikimedia: these are the Wikimedia projects: http://www.wikimedia.org/. And since we've got a handful of IT guys who've joined us, we might want to explore MediaWiki [http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki] as well. MediaWiki is the software platform that is used to run all Wikimedia projects. So for those of you who might not have the passion of editing Wikipedia, you may also want to try contributing by designing an open-source anti-vandalism software program for Wikipedia :) I'm not an IT guru per se, so i don't know how MediaWiki works, but if any of you shows interests in it and would like a mentor, I could try and hook you up with a MediaWiki guy. Hi Guys, I would suggest we come when all of us have opened Wikipedia accounts as Wikipedia only permits 6 accounts per IP per day per language....
Lets use this opportunity to teach and learn how to edit our Wikipedia.if you really committed to the Wikipedia Culture and Wikimedia Kenya, please find time for this awesome event.
Abbas gave me some useful Wiki books, they are a good place to start from.

A blog post / brief for this would be great before requesting for space. It's required for ihub's newsletter to its members.
I can do it during the weekend but if anyone has time before then, please go ahead and prepare one. In the meantime, I'll ping Tosh to enquire on the availability of ihub
Alex.
