Kasia, you've already seen this; but for the others, distressing news from Mombasa:

.It is so unfortunate that the allegations by the US ambassador to Kenya came true. From the Sunday incident 3 people have already succumbed to injury and 30 others still hospitalized 4 of whom are in ICU.
It is saddening and shocking yet some top government officials rebuked these claim saying the allegations by the ambassador were an act of economic sabotage to scare away tourists.

Steve ,thats glimpse into our foreign policy , believe me if you are paid to paint a good picture of your country you would do that well , unless you wanna hurt the Economy of your beloved country.During the Sept 11th thing ,the Washington govn were well aware of possibility of attack ,but they wouldn't say anything to that effect ,Me thinks its our security apparatus at the dock ,after receiving 'intelligent' reports from a 'a friendly' state ,America ,its was upon them to act to protect their citizens which is their duty anyway.

I dont think this is the right forum to discuss such an issue.
That is my opinion.

Hello Folks!
I started an article about the blasts herehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blasts_in_Nairobion May 29, 2012 but I had been covering Nairobi only. Other Wikipedians have raised concerns on the discussion page of the article that it should cover all the bomb/grenade attacks in Kenya. View the discussion page herehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Blasts_in_Nairobi
I agree that we should write articles of recent events that meet GNGhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Gng#General_notability_guidelinesince it is easier to find references online since they are still 'fresh'.
I am paranoid about staying or going around town nowadays yet am a local citizen. Maybe it is probably because the Moi Avenue blast happened barely before we left town with Alex (a Kenyan Wikimedian) after our meeting with Kenya Railways museum guys.
I wonder what the case would be if an explosion goes of and I was in a foreign country!
regards, Stephen
