Hello Folks,
I came across this Website that is a Wiki and I thought it might be worth sharing....
http://www.kenya.or.ke/Main_Page
Seems a lot of effort has been put into it.

Thanks Steve,
I 1st heard of this initiative sometimes in 2010 after the KWC Challenge.seems the guys did something awesome.
Question: is there a way we can work together with such folks to enrich Kenyan Content on wikipedia? we could even recruit them int our chapter.....just saying

Hello,
Thats exactly what I quipped at Alex on chat once I saw this Wiki.
They have 335 registered users, 2admins and 1 buraecrat...Active editors/contributors = 3....See [1] below.
Seems this is a group of open source champions who know how mediawiki works...
And yeah if possible we can talk about contributing to Wikipedia whose structure is mature and already well set.
My two cents.

Don't get your hopes up too soon, cf. http://www.kenya.or.ke/Special:ActiveUsers Only 3 active users over the last 91 days with 4, 13 and 115 edits respectively. Also, noone ever edited their user page, so without user info, we may not get to know who these guys are. Just saying! Cheers, Oliver (aka BT)

Point noted BT.
Seems it a project they jump started and somehow stalled ....
A unique thing I noted about the wiki is that you have to request for an account and even upload ur CV!
And I agree we cannot count on them since there is even no way of communicating with them.

Lets not give ip,this guys tried to reach us after the KWC,will dig my archives and see what and if i can get a contact point. Its worth trying to link up with them and see what they are upto. Or even just for a discussion....
This guys had an ambition just like ours: Sharing and making locally relevant content available online.

Oscar, I agree that we shouldn't give up, just not get our hopes too high (335 registered users sounded much more promising than the relality of 3 marginally active users). If you can find a contact in your archives, all the better! Cheers, Oliver (aka BT)
