Since most of us are in Nairobi, it will be easier for us to integrate previsits to our daily schedules.
As for me I'm available Thursday mornings and willing to visit a school or two during this time.
Ps: Oscar, how's the previsit at Kakamega so far?
Alex.

Guys, from my experience so far in kakamega, one needs to be well versed with Nyeri.som skuls are hesitant yet others need the principals ultimate say.unfortunately we principals arent in skul much of th time hence need to seek alternatives as explaining the project over th phone nd oral has little impact on our "seriously ICT malnourished" teachers.(no offence meant, expect it on the ground) so should Gracd go,she shouldnt entirely depend on the pilot skuls but av other skuls that av computers in Nyeri in mind.
Should this fail, Nairobi skuls would do well.a quick decision is needed to facilitate the Nairobi previsit ASAP.rememba guys half term falls somewhere btwn 1st and 2nd wk of March.
Best,

Abbas,
We can hire projectors if need be, they go for about Kshs. 2500 - 4000 per day. I think that should not really be a hindrance. Also, if anyone of us has access to something they can borrow... I think it would take this project a step further.

Oscar,
Grace is from Nyeri and I have been trying to talk to her onto whether she could previsit Nyeri. She can do so, but there are some setbacks:
The Nyeri team cannot undertake the pilot on March. This is because Msa and Kakamega will be using the projectors at that time. Pushing it forward to February is almost impossible as most of the people have either internships or exams. And since schools close on April, that would mean pushing it forward to May -- as a last resort.
Rather than doing "Thika-Nairobi-Murang'a-Kiambu" that you are suggesting, I think it's better to consider Nairobi only. This way we would manage to engage Oliver and Dennis -- who were enquiring why we had removed Nairobi out of the picture. I also remember Google was of the same opinion that we should include Nairobi as well. Not that I support the change of Nyeri to Nairobi, but this is just an idea I had as a last resort.
Cheers Abbas.

In any of the two suggestions above, wherever someone is available to lead the pilot, I agree with the suggestion

Am in talks with the MP for Mtito and he might be willing to sponsor the operations of running our project in 9 high schools in his constituency.

Hey Guys, Looks like we can not undertake the Pilot in Nyeri.I thus wold like to float an alternative:
- that we undertake the pilot n the Thika-Nairobi-Murang'a-Kiambu
area. Its close to Nairobi and bet someone on the list is well versed with the area.
- the area is in larger Central region and as such wont contradict or
budget and plans.
- incorporate KU in the Pilot (we owe them, kill 2 stones with 1 bird :)
)and a few middle level colleges around(trust me colleges are so eager to have it than High schools)
- or explore Davids earlier suggestion of Makueni (Ukamabani) and have
someone take the previsit ASAP.
What do you guys think?
