Hi all,
So I've blogged about this on Mozilla Kenya's site though it's temporarily down due to maintenance; spammers :( It should be back up by tomorrow.
Anyways, as Steve mentioned, 10th September was suggested as a meetup date for local Mozilla and Wikimedia contributors.
So if everyone's cool with this, I'll move to book Strathmore as our venue.
Cheers, Alex

Hi Nice People,
I attended a mozilla meet-up yesterday the 20th Aug 2011 in Nairobi and
we
discussed an issue that is very important to us.
While Alex was at Wikimania 2011 at Haifa, Israel,he had talks with
Mozilla
guys plus the Wikimedia counterparts and they were of the opinion that we carry out a nationwide awareness campaign here in Kenya in most
of,
if not all colleges and campuses.
At our meeting we decided not to lay down major plans before we get into consultation with you, WMKE.However, we unanimously agreed that the
outreach
shall be carried out in January, and considering the magnitude and scope of the
Road
trip Pre visits shall be conducted in October-pre visits still to be confirmed.
Therefore, after much consultations We decided to have a (WMKE N MOZILLA KENYA) combined meet-up in Nairobi on the 10th September 2011 to have an elaborate plan up and running.
A site dedicated for this shall be set up as part of the planning and I
will
definately forward the link to you guys.
Mozilla is an Open Source movement and so do we at WMF.
Cheers, Steve
