Hey Sam, my suggestion would be to have online updates of the same where guys outside Nairobi or those who can't attend physically may get a chance to participate.
Cheers, Alex.

Hi folks,
I just had a private email exchange with Oliver in which I suggested
the
idea of having a WikiSaturday where we all meet on the last Saturday of the month at iHub and do some editing of Wikipedia. I think that this will
be
of great help to all of us since personally, i haven't edited Wikipedia
for
a while now since I'm pre-occuppied with chapter stuff, but when we are
all
together, it'll give me a sense of motivation to edit more :)
Looking forward to receiving your feedback.

Also, perhaps non-Nairobi residents can start similar meetups in their own area.
If you're thinking "but there are no Wikipedians in my town", consider *making your own peers* -- that is, announce a lecture about Wikipedia in some local venue (it can be very small), and try to motivate people to try editing Wikipedia (or Wiktionary, etc.). If one gives a few of those lectures, I'm sure one can find a few interested people and create a local meetup. Where it goes from there is up to the team.
Just a thought. :)
Cheers,
Asaf
