Hi Samson,
right now, when you start Kiwix it will just open the last file that has been open in Kiwix. So the first time you start Kiwix it will just show an empty screen, then you can open a ZIM file from the menu (file... open...). If you close Kiwix and restart it, it will open that last opened file again.
You can put the ZIM file wherever you like. If the computers in the schools have a local server you can just copy it on one of the data shares. Just make sure that nobody will move the files around.
The new feature I introduced in my mail is that you can also tell Kiwix directly from the command line which file it should open:
kiwix.exe x:\path\to\zim\file.zim
/Manuel

Manuel, if I want kiwix to open a certain zim file directly when I start it, is it possible? and if yes, in which folder should I place my zim file? Your help is always appreciated
