A perfect chance to reach a larger audience and blending into the open day is in appraisal of our objectives. Nice idea there. Cheers stephen w. wanjau Phone: +254 771 557 857 twitter:haha_wanjau B.Sc statistics and computer science. JKUAT

Hi guys,
I just blogged about Africa Open Days here: http://www.mozilla-kenya.org/blog/12-africa-open-days.
Basically, it's an event that will showcase open-source technologies through talks and demos on open tech in Africa and the first stop, well
you
guessed it, Kenya!
Currently, the main organizers for this are guys from Mozilla and
Fedora.
I feel that Wikimedia will perfectly fit in this event and we could
probably
have demos and talks around Wikipedia, Mediawiki, Commons etc.
A date hasn't been decided yet but it will probably be around September. Let me know what you think regarding having Wikimedia taking part in
this.
cheers, Alex!
