Hi Nice people,
We had planned to undertake this project in the future.
The future arrives one day at a time and from my PVT conversation with Alex, we have up to three weeks to wrap up the preparations and thus the launch of this ginormous project just before the end of October.
On that note consequently, a budget has been prepared by a portion of interested WMKE members and we would like to have your suggestions in the following areas;
• How long should we run the photo competition??
Bear in mind that; Some teams in Australia had more than 1 GB of photos yet the competition was run for only a single day. For our case here in Kenya running the competition for a day might not even scratch the surface of our targets just an example.
• What are the proper awards for the 1st prize, 2nd prize and the 3rd prizes?
The prizes should proportionate the efforts that you universally consider sincere. I.e. we cannot seek a sponsorship to Wikimania 2012 from the WMF for a winner who only took photos for only a day – for you to go to Wikimania I think you are in better shape if you know how to edit Wikipedia and wikis in general, just a case in point.
• To make sure we not only preserve the guys who partake in this photo contest, we also plan to teach them how to edit and become wikieditors, we shall run an article writing competition later after which we can now award a single ticket to Wikimania 2012 for the best article which ought to be of a very high quality.
Your opinions of how to make this take place are highly longed-for and revered.
Regards, Stephen.

Hi guys,
I've got updates on this and ofcourse feedback will be awesome. I had a chat with Andrew from Perth, Australia and he had some great suggestions. I'll be a bit tied up during the day so I'll email you on this later on in the evening.
Cheers, Alex
