Hi.
I really enjoyed our meeting with Eric too. He's a great guy, seems to really "get" what we are about, and is genuinely interested in helping. Do try to set up a meeting with him -- maybe invite him to your next Editing Saturday? That way you can also demonstrate editing a little.
Many established chapters still don't have such a good contact in major media, so you should count yourselves lucky! As soon as you have something big to announce, let Eric know at least a week in advance and he should be able to arrange good coverage.
WMKE's next announcements, as far as I can tell, would be:
1. Wikipedia Takes Nairobi -- announcing the beginning of the project. Possibly also the results, if impressive. 2. Incorporation of Wikimedia Kenya -- the NGO registration itself doesn't interest anyone, but it would be the "hook" needed to make it a "news" item, and you should use that opportunity to discuss WMKE's plans -- talk about the offline project, about our vision, about future projects, invite people to the next Editing Saturday, etc. 3. Schools project (offline) -- when we have the Kenya-specific ZIM file ready (this is up to you guys! Who is taking charge of this?), we can do some more planning and prepare for re-launching the schools project on a larger scale (with a WMF grant for travel expenses etc.)
Cheers,
Asaf

Hi Guys, Just had a discussion with my Friend Eric Latiff of Capital fm, with whom Asaf and I met last week- His message via SMS is "*I liked the meeting we had with Asaf, I think wikimedia is a very Good Project- Count me in"* he is therefore requesting a meeting with members more so Abbas, so that we can discuss how the media will be involved in our projects- Mind you he wants to Join WMF and will also be our link to all major media houses. Let me know your take on this
