This is really exciting and a great initiative; best of luck!
Also, if the students are particularly interested in Wikipedia and continued involvement in the project, you might want to consider encouraging them to form a "*student club"* to promote further organization and editing of Wikipedia on the campus! more information can be found on the Outreach wiki: http://outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/Student_Organizations
All the best - Jessie

Hi guys, So to give a status update on the Kabarak trip;
The partakers shall be leaving for Nakuru from Nairobi on Friday the 23rd September 2011. The real occasion shall be the day after, which is 24th. (This Coming Saturday).
The long-established attendees so far are:
- Stephen W. Wanjau.
- Abbas Mahmoud.
Any other interested attendees should feel free to indicate their availability for this outreach mission on this mailing list.
==our activities there==
•We shall involve the students in Editing both the Swahili and English Wikipedia. To start us off we shall write about the recent Zanzibar ferry tragedy which is at present pigeon-holed WP: RA under Swahili.
•We shall also elucidate to the students how to upload photos and other resources to the numerous Wikimedia projects and generally how they can get involved in Wikimedia Projects.
•How the campus can help Wikimedia Kenya to distribute copies of the offline Wikipedia, maybe as an extra-curricular activity.
(FEEL without obstruction to add onto this list of events that shall make the day a success)
==Transport and Food==
As decided in the course of our last meet up at Strathmore University, we established it wise that all the participants to Kabarak University shall cater for their own transport and food to and from Nakuru and a rough estimate of this figure was projected to around KES 2200 per head. These sums shall be reimbursed as soon as we get the start-up grant which is still being drafted before being presented to The Grants Board.
In case of any more information on this topic feel permitted to ask.
If it shall be your first time to Nakuru, you can catch me on +254 722 238 165.
==Departure==
Preferably, I would suggest we leave as a team from Nairobi probably in the afternoon of Friday.
Yours, Stephen.
