FYI - are there any NYC wikimedians and other folks interested in OpenStreetMap?
It would be awesome to organize another NYC mapping party (I'd come to NYC for that) and wonder what the interest is?
Also, there is talk about importing some of the NYC GIS data (see below) though there are license compatibility issues and it's best that imports don't happen without an active mapping community.
