UNESCO has just launched a website promoting 2019 as the International Year of Indigenous Languages. There, it's possible to sign up both individually and as an organization, with some indication of planned actions to observe and support the observance.
Is this something Wikimedia NYC would be interested in? We've done edit-a-thons on indigenous peoples before; would next year be a good time to do several?
