Pleased to announce that the dashboard now has a KPI module that should be the first thing y'all see when you go to http://searchdata.wmflabs.org/metrics/
- The currently-functional widgets (load time, zero results rate, api usage) adjust their visual style to reflect good or bad changes since yesterday. - The bar showing breakdown of API usage is staying here for now until we find a better place for it.
One more thing! The individual dashboard tabs can now be linked to. So if you need to show somebody the zero results summary page, you can navigate to it and find a link at the bottom that you can copy and paste like this: http://searchdata.wmflabs.org/metrics/#failure_rate
Cheers~ Mikhail

Cirrus vs. Prefix vs. OpenSearch?
OpenSearch is just an API around prefix searching, it's basically just wrapping results in a specific format.
And 100% of searches are Cirrus...perhaps you mean full text?

Oh. There may have been a misunderstanding. Okay, I will speak with Oliver about this tomorrow and make fixes as necessary. Thanks for noticing and the clarification.

Full-Text works, yep; let's put a bug in and change those labels. On open versus prefix, it's a totally valid distinction to make: as you said, it's a different output format. Checking how people consume our data involves literally checking how people are consuming our data ;)

Okay, that'll be much more clear

Totally that makes sense.

Grand! And thanks for the pointer; it's most appreciated :)

We've further updated the KPI dashboard to include the time range for the KPIs so you know what time period they're calculated over. And, as we speak, we're working on putting time series for each KPI onto the dashboard too.
Thanks!

The dashboards have been updated to include the time series for each KPI. Also, each KPI summary widget now acts as a shortcut. So you can click on the big number to view the respective series.
Cheers, Mikhail
