Hello everyone!
Just a few updates.
We are actively recruiting for a new communications coordinator for the program evaluation team:
- Now Hiring! If you know any awesome Wikimedians with a background and experience in communications and community coordination who might be interested in the position (or if you are one yourself) please encourage them to check it out and applyhttp://hire.jobvite.com/CompanyJobs/Careers.aspx?c=qSa9VfwQ&cs=9UL9Vfwt&page=Job%20Description&j=o4DqYfwP !
- For those of engaged in grants reporting: Don't miss the grantmaking team's virtual meet-up next week on Telling the story of your annual planhttps://plus.google.com/events/c8jqfor094l90lcjrevhsm3ath8 where they will have a panel of presenter to share strategies for successfully telling the story of your work. Remember, you can sign up to our google plus group to receive reminders and invitations to future virtual meet-up events or follow our portal's news pagehttps://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Programs:Evaluation_portal/News
- For those attending the Wikimedia Conference in Berlin: We sent confirmation to participants at the beginning of the week but have not heard back from everyone yet. Please check your inbox if you had indicated interest and let us know if you will still be able to join us in Berlin. There are still a handful of participant slots that remain. - If you are attending the conference and still interested/able to join us for the pre-conference (Wednesday April 9th)https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Programs:Evaluation_portal/News/Wikimedia_Conference_2014_Pre-conference_Program_Evaluation_and_Design_Workshop, OR if you are a program leader not attending the conference, but near to Berlin and might like to join us that day, let us know and we can see if we can work it out.
- Lastly, in our strategizing around our current communications gap we appear to have overlooked sending the announcement of Frank's departure from WMFhttps://blog.wikimedia.org/2014/02/12/frank-schulenburg-named-executive-director-of-wiki-education-foundation/to our own group list. We apologize for any possible confusion this oversight may have caused. If you have been trying to reach the program evaluation and design team, please direct your queries to either myself ( janstee@wikimedia.org), or to the communications inbox ( eval@wikimedia.org), so that we can respond to your needs.
-
As always, you can also visit us any time in the parlor on metahttps://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Programs:Evaluation_portal or our Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/programevaluation/!
Thank you for your time and attention, may you each have a safe and pleasant weekend.
Sincerely,
Jaime
