Greetings Program Leaders and Evaluators!
Important updates from Learning and Evaluation:
== Learning Pattern Campaign: Let’s Talk Diversity [1]==
In a way to give support to the upcoming Inspire Grants campaign, the
Learning and Evaluation team has launched Learning Pattern Campaign: Let’s
Talk Diversity! If you have:
-
preserved your cultural or national history through photo contests and
editing events;
-
worked to enrich a particular language or cultural group on Wikimedia;
-
studied diversity issues in online communities;
Share what you learned about bringing diversity to Wikimedia projects! You
can share a problem, a solution or both. You can also start a Learning
Pattern that gives a response to any of the problems shared. Contributors
will receive one of the new Learning Pattern barnstars. Join the ongoing
conversation on the campaign page [1]. Read more about the campaign on the
new blog [2], and share it!
== New blog: An easier way to share knowledge through Learning Patterns [3]
==
In this new blogpost, we share with the community at large the new
categorization system developed for the Learning Pattern Library. This
effort stems from several requests to make the library easier to access,
create and share. Take a look at the new main categories on Meta [4], read
the blog, comment and share!
== New virtual meet-up: Education Program Toolkit, Feb 26 [5] ==
In a joint effort by Learning and Evaluation team and Wikipedia Education
Collaborative, we launch on February 26 (at 9 am PST) the first of a series
of program toolkits. This new resource brings forward the learning
experiences of program leaders all over the world, organized in four steps:
plan, run, evaluate and connect. Join us to discuss use and further
expansion of this toolkit! [5]
As always, stay up-to-date by connecting on our portal [6].
On behalf of the Learning and Evaluation team, thank you for your time and
attention.
