Greetings Program Leaders and Evaluators!
Important updates from Learning and Evaluation:
== Let’s Talk Diversity: Report of the campaign now available [1] ===
After a month dedicated to the first Learning Pattern campaign on Meta, we
are happy with the results and the lessons learned in this first
experience. Read the report on the campaign’s page on Meta [1], and leave
your comments and recommendations!
== Next in-person workshops: GLAM Wiki Conference 2015 [2]==
If you are attending GLAM-Wiki Conference [2] in The Hague, note that
Program Evaluation and Design Team will be hosting two workshops, both with
a panel of presenters that will share their experience on two main themes:
* Pitching GLAM Wiki partnerships: best practices for how to identify a
good potential partnership, share the important steps and strategic points
for planning and launching a successful pitch, and call out any mistakes to
learn from.
* Tracking and Reporting for GLAM Partnerships: best practices for how to
identify key tracking and reporting needs, share the important steps and
strategic points for implementing successful tracking and reporting to your
partnership collaborators, and call out any mistakes to learn from.
Join the events on wiki and Facebook [2]. Hope to see some of you there!
== Hashtags on Wikipedia [3]==
Did you know you can use hashtags on Wikipedia? If you are hosting an
editing event, ask your participants to save their edits with a specific
hashtag on the Edit Summary, and listen to it on Hatnote. If broadly
adopted, it will allow for complex analytics on the volume and quality of
contributions (and contributors) by campaign, tool or organization. Read
more about this on Hatnote blog[3]!
== Community initiative: 100 Wiki Days [4] ==
Our attention was brought to a recent community initiative by
[[User:Spiritia]] from the Bulgarian Wikipedia. The initiative is named
100wikidays [4]: it’s a personal challenge, in which a user aims at the
creation of (at least) one article every day in 100 days in a row.
This initiative has resulted in the creation of total 176 articles thus
far, and more articles are being created and users are signing-up everyday.
You are welcome to join the community, and/or help spread the word!
As always, stay up-to-date by connecting on our portal [5].
On behalf of the Learning and Evaluation team, thank you for your time and
attention.

Greetings Program Leaders and Evaluators!
Important updates from Learning and Evaluation:
== Education Program Toolkit [1] ==
On February 26, we launched the first Wikimedia Program guide, the
Education Program Toolkit [1]. This new resource was a joint effort of
Program Evaluation and Design team, and Wikipedia Education team. The
knowledge that we hope to convey with this resource stems from the
experience of different program leaders all over the world, capture through
Learning Patterns. We invite Education program coordinators to use it,
expand it and make it their own in multiple ways!
== New Inspire Grants Campaign to work on Gender Diversity [2]==
The Community department successfully launched a new campaign for Inspire
Grants. This effort puts a special emphasis on projects that focus on the
gender gap. Grants are accepted until March 31. Find out more on the
campaign page on Meta [2]!
Remember you can still give support to the campaign by sharing your
experience to bring diversity on Wikimedia! Contribute your knowledge on
Let’s Talk Diversity [3]. You can share a problem, a solution or both. You
can also start a Learning Pattern that gives a response to any of the
problems shared. Contributors will receive one of the new Learning Pattern
barnstars. Join the ongoing conversation on the campaign page [3]
