Hi everyone!
I posted the latest in the string of program evaluation reports on Meta
today. This week's installment is on other photo upload initiatives
(non-Wiki Loves Monuments ones):
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Programs:Evaluation_portal/Library/Other_ph…
Highlights include:
* The average photo upload initiative lasts 30 days and has 16 participants.
* A total of 50,386 images were uploaded to Commons for the six reported
events, and 3,456 (6.9%) images uploaded during these events were already
included in Wikimedia project pages.
* The average photo upload initiative generates more than 2,000 image
uploads to Commons with associated direct costs just over $0.60 USD per
image.
Questions are welcomed and encouraged ***on the talk page***.

Greetings Program Leaders!
We are working to identify who will be attending the April Wikimedia
Conference in Berlin and interested in participating in Program Evaluation
and Design workshop events.
As an effort to advance evaluation capacity building of Wikimedia Chapters
and other program leaders, we would like to provide responsive training
options for those who will be in attendance.
If you plan to attend the April conference, please help us by taking a few
minutes to tell us about (1) the types of programs you implement, (2) the
learning areas most relevant for you at this time, and (3) your ability to
attend various pre-conference and conference events by answering survey.
The Program Evaluation and Design Team will review your feedback and the
potential participants and begin to plan and in February, we will reach out
to invite participants to the various workshop-type events we are able to
schedule in and around the conference dates.
Those of you on our survey list can look for your customized link in your
email, or use the public link to take the survey
now!<https://wikimedia.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_9S6aXcdZEgAzSYt>
If you are not already on our survey list, you can also use the same
link to take the survey
now!<https://wikimedia.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_9S6aXcdZEgAzSYt>

You can try copy and pasting the address:

Hi everyone!
I posted the latest in the string of program evaluation reports on Meta
today, on Wiki Loves Monuments:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Programs:Evaluation_portal/Library/WLM
Highlights of the report include:
* About 17% of the images uploaded through Wiki Loves Monuments 2012 are in
use on our projects.
* The majority of Wiki Loves Monuments participants are new users; however,
the survival rate of new users is low (1.7% of the 2012 participants made
at least one edit and 1.4% uploaded at least one new file to Commons six
months after the event).
* Half of the existing editors who participated in Wiki Loves Monuments
2012 also participated in Wiki Loves Monuments 2013, with new users making
up for the other half.
* The global Wiki Loves Monuments organizing team helps support Wiki Loves
Monuments organizers around the world, providing replication opportunities
via direct support. This makes it easier for someone to organize their own
Wiki Loves Monuments contest.
Questions are welcomed and encouraged on the talk page.

Hi everyone!

today, on GLAM content donations:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Programs:Evaluation_portal/Library/GLAM_con…

* Program leaders who engage in activities that lead to GLAM content
donations have five priority goals
* On average, GLAM content donations have four people involved and take an
average of three months to implement from beginning to end
* Only a small portion of the donated media have been used in Wikimedia
project pages
* Program leaders who implement programmatic activities that lead to GLAM
content donations are experienced, and produce documentation and blogs
about their implementations
* And more! Read the report to find out:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Programs:Evaluation_portal/Library/GLAM_con…
We'll be discussing this report and other reports during a Hangout tomorrow

Hi program leaders,
I just wanted to give a quick update about a staffing change in the Program Evaluation team at the Wikimedia Foundation, as Sarah Stierch is no longer a WMF employee[1]. Sarah has done incredible work in building community and answering questions about program evaluation, and we thank her for her invaluable contributions to our team.
LiAnna Davis has agreed to help bridge the gap on community coordination for the evaluation team until we have filled the open position. Many of you have interacted with LiAnna in her role as the communications manager for the Wikipedia Education Program, where she creates materials such as the new Editing Wikipedia brochure that support the education program as well as many other programs. LiAnna will be continuing her normal role with the education program team as well as assisting our evaluation team, so we apologize in advance if there is a longer-than-normal lag in response time for any questions you have. You can reach LiAnna at ldavis(a)wikimedia.org or [[User:Ldavis (WMF)]].
And please let me know offlist if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Frank Schulenburg

Happy New Year!
*We have released the latest program evaluation about on-wiki writing
contests.*
As we have asked previously, we would love your reviews and comments on
this report. Preferably, on the talk page of the evaluation. On-wiki
writing contests have shown that they do meet their priority goals, but
research can still be done (like all of the evaluations we have produced so
far).
*We hope you'll find time to share and review this report:*
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Programs:Evaluation_portal/Library/On-wiki_…
Also, I'll be contact many of you again as a reminder about *survey
collection*. If you have produced surveys at anytime in the past, or have a
survey you would like to share with us, we want it. *We need to collect
surveys so we can develop high demand surveying tools* that so many of you
have asked us about.[1]
Thanks everyone, and happy new year,
Sarah
