Yes, you'll note none all the other spaces are in the same situation, which is why I sent a reminder yesterday, but it's usually how things work. Submissions are done at the very last minute, so expect much more traffic closer to the deadline. :) After we see submission, the selection committee will choose the best submissions and a program should be released within a month, so by July 1st.
Best, Shani.

Am I right that as of now there are no submissions, only ideas about potential speakers? How does scheduling work? I see two blocks of time, Fri afternoon and all day Saturday. How long is each session? Are there also booths or any other sort of hands on sessions? Should a speaker expect to do a presentation? Will there be a projector available to attach to a computer? Dear WikiMed enthusiasts,
This is a gentle reminder that you have 2 more weeks left to submit sessions for Wikimania this year. I'm actually writing you as the "Space Leader" for both Education & Medicine, and would like to encourage you to submit to those spaces too, as some initiative may overlap. :)
The Education Space specifically will host sessions for these ovelaping topics, so please note that if you have an EDU & Medicine initiative, you are welcome to post it under the Education space.
We encourage all of you to consider UNESCO's SDGs while you post your submissions, and pay attention to different instructions for different spaces.
Here's a link to the Health Space submission page - https://wikimania.wikimedia.org/wiki/2019:Health Here's a link to the Education Space submission page - https://wikimania.wikimedia.org/wiki/2019:Education
And here's a general link for submissions to all other Spaces - https://wikimania.wikimedia.org/wiki/2019:Submissions We look forward to your submissions and encourage you to share it far and wide to partners around the world. :)
Best, Shani.
