I am pleased to share that the *draft annual plan * https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Foundation_Annual_Plan/2023-2024of the Wikimedia Foundation for the coming fiscal year from July 2023 to June 2024 has been published and is open for feedback.

While the entire annual plan is available in multiple languages, a short summary https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Foundation_Annual_Plan/2023-2024 is available in close to 30 languages including many from the region.

The Foundation’s current Annual Plan is anchored in the two strategic pillars of our movement strategy https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Movement_Strategy: * “knowledge equity” and “knowledge as a service.” *

Since last year, the Foundation has prioritized two-way planning https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Foundation_Annual_Plan/2022-2023/Two-Way_Planning with communities by asking community members to share their goals for the coming year. This renewed approach helps us better see the shared needs, efforts, and opportunities across communities and to identify further collaborations that could be developed or deepened by region, by project, or by another area of interest.

As we embark on our Annual Planning Process (APP) journey for the upcoming year we are hosting a series of calls/discussions https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Foundation_Annual_Plan/2023-2024/Collaboration across various time zones to collaborate across the movement. For the South Asia-friendly time zone, we are hosting the following conversations.

1. In-person session during WikiConference India, https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/WikiConference_India_2023/Program on the 28th of April with the attendees of the conference. (recording to be uploaded on meta).

2. Virtual Discussion on the 30th of April, 2023 (0600 UTC)- Join Us!
