The Centre for Internet & Society (CIS) is seeking applications for the
post of two Programme Associates (Access to Knowledge-Language Anchor) on a
consultancy basis (one for Marathi and the other one for Konkani) for the
period February 1, 2015 to June 30, 2015 for its Access to Knowledge
(CIS-A2K) Programme. The position will be based in Pune for Marathi
programme. The Programme Associate will collaboratively work with the A2K
Team and would report to the Programme Director, CIS-A2K.

We are excited to share that Tanveer Hasan A.K. has joined CIS-A2K as the
Programme Officer (Institutional Partnerships). We thank all the
Wikimedians from various Indian language communities and Wikimedia India
Chapter EC for taking part in the hiring process. [1]
Tanveer, has been working in the Higher Education sector for the past 3
years and is interested in analyzing the policy framework and its impacts
with particular emphasis on linguistic policies. He is committed to the
cause of spreading and cultivating the Free and Open Knowledge movement in
Indian Languages. He is also interested in the questions of language,
competence and social justice and would like to understand them through his
present engagement at CIS-A2K.
Please join us in congratulating him and wishing him success in his new
role.
