Thanks, Mina!
To clarify: the CEE conference does not have a general scholarships process like Wikimania. Instead, each community is expected to have a discussion and appoint, from among the people who are interested and able to go on those dates, up to two delegates. So it's up to you folks, in the Greek community, to determine who goes this year. The Estonian organizers will support whoever the community selects, given a link to an on-wiki decision.
Cheers, and happy 15th of August. :)

Hello all:)
Manos, very interesting report! I have bookmarked it for future reference, as I do not have the time right now to read it thoroughly.
Asaf, you are right in saying that face-to-face meetings have different impact on the movement: that is what I learned from participating in (amazing) Wikimania 2015. For example, the conversation the two of us had in person gave me tremendous insight into what more can be done in the Greek community.
I wish I could attend the CEE conference in Estonia... just that it is taking place right in the first week of the teaching year and it will be impossible for me to get away (plus I will most likely be missing from school for the first five days in September, due to new urgent health problems in the family, so asking for leave to go to a conference would be too much).
Manos, please hear what Asaf is saying and apply for a scholarship. I believe you are the perfect candidate, with all the great work you have done with the Wikipedia School. It is important that such projects are shared and discussed with the CEE community. Please find a way to take a break for 3 days, I'm sure the place, the people and the experience will be most rewarding!
Wishing all of you a good weekend (and all Greek friends, "καλό Δεκαπενταύγουστο και χρόνια πολλά σε Μαρίες, Μάριους, Παναγιώτηδες και Παναγιώτες!")
(Asaf, tomorrow is one of the biggest celebrations in the Greek Orthodox religion and the Greek above was to wish a happy name day to all those who are celebrating:)

Hi, Manos.
Thanks for the report! Certainly, it's not *necessary* to travel to share the experience you have gained; that's what the report is for. But equally, experience does show great benefits to the occasional face-to-face interaction of Wikipedians from different communities, in learning from each other, inspiring each other, and in helping gain a sense of the movement and the broad themes (both challenges and successes) currently occupying it. I do hope the Greek community discusses this and appoints delegates to this upcoming meeting in Estonia. I hope to see Greeks there!

Hi Asaf
I have uploaded the grant report of Wikipedia School project here < https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:PEG/Manos_Kefalas/Wikipedia_School_in...
: After that I researched a bit to find out what CEE Meeting is and I did.
I guess it would be fine to inform face to face about the practices of Wikipedia School and the tools developed and used, and answer questions. On the other hand, is it really needed to travel all this way to do this?
Best regards, Manos

Dear friends,
Could I encourage you to respond to the CEE list request for input? The deadline is approaching, and the quality (and grant) of the CEE Meeting depends on cooperation from CEE groups...
