The only way really find out what's wrong is that after the warning of this
line:
print "WARNING: Could not load %s%s. Maybe the server is down. Retrying in %i minutes..." % (self.site().hostname(), path, retry_idle_time)
Either a wikipedia.output(text) or a print text is needed.
The HTML needs to be viewed to find out why the reason for the error.
