for those who have not seen it, yet, there will be another Wikimedia Hackathon https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Hackathon_2025 next year. 🎉

The Wikimedia Hackathon is an annual event that brings the *global technical community *together to *connect* and have technical discussions*,* *hack* on existing projects and *explore* new ideas for others. The Hackathon is participant-driven and gets its life from the active participation of its attendees.

- *Dates & Venue*: Held in-person from May 2-4, 2025, at the Renaissance Polat Istanbul Hotel in Istanbul, Turkey.

The Hackathon event is *free for all to attend*. Catering and covid-related equipment will be provided during the event, but participants are expected to *book their own travel arrangements *and* accommodation.*

However, the Wikimedia Foundation is offering to take care of travel and accommodation for a limited selection of scholars. You will be able to apply for a scholarship during the registration process. - *Scholarship Application Deadline*: submissions close on *December 10, 2024*. - If you would like to discuss your project ideas or learn more about the set up of the Hackathon, I would like to set up a meeting for us and discuss.
