There are some SPARQL options in SMW: [ https://www.semantic-mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Semantic_MediaWiki_extensions#L... | https://www.semantic-mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Semantic_MediaWiki_extensions#L... ]

Can MediaWiki display SPARQL results? [i am pretty sure Semantic MédiaWiki has plugins for that] In that case, you can use the SPARQL endpoint of Wikidata as your API gateway.

Hi! I'm a relatively experienced dev with MediaWiki, but completely new to Wikibase. I've been attempting to install Wikibase Client on my wiki in order to access Wikidata over the public API. I am interested in read-only access.
First of all – is this even possible? The documentation is unfortunately very muddy and focused on completely different use cases. By looking at stack traces Wikibase Client produces, I start to suspect the only way to connect to a repo is by direct DB access, which is of course off the table for anyone that isn't Wikimedia :)
If I'm doing this horribly wrong (and I suspect I am), do you know any sensible ways of accessing Wikidata remotely in a wiki? Something like a parser function.
Thanks in advance :) Ostrzyciel _______________________________________________ Wikibaseug mailing list [ mailto:Wikibaseug@lists.wikimedia.org | Wikibaseug@lists.wikimedia.org ] [ https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibaseug | https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibaseug ]
