Hi all,
As this is my first post on this mailing list, and we may not have met yet: Hi! I’m Lea, Head of Product Management at Wikimedia Deutschland. I have some staffing related announcements to make concerning Wikibase.
After more than 2 amazing years at Wikimedia Deutschland, our product manager for the Wikibase ecosystem, Sam Alipio is moving on to other adventures. We thank Sam for the skills, the drive and generally being a great colleague. Amongst others, Sam was responsible for the 2021 strategy for the Wikibase ecosystem[1] and key to Wikimedia Deutschland’s decision to provide Wikibase as a Service. Take care and farewell, Sam!
The Wikibase ecosystem continues to grow, and it is for this reason that Wikimedia Deutschland plans to have two product managers for the Wikibase ecosystem going forward. One product manager focussed on Wikibase.cloud and a second on Wikibase Suite, which includes the docker and manual install.
We are excited to announce that Evelien Zandbergen will join us as product manager for Wikibase.cloud in a few weeks. Evelien is looking forward to joining the Linked Open Data movement, and will introduce herself once she starts.
The second product management position will follow later this year, and in the interim, I will act as product manager for the Wikibase Suite.
As always, feel free to reach out to us via swe_partnerships(a)wikimedia.de.
We are excited to continue working towards our vision[2] and fostering the Wikibase ecosystem together with you!
Cheers,
Lea

Hi everyone,
Due to Wikimedia Deutschland’s current focus on launching Wikibase.cloud,
we are delaying our Wikibase releases.
When we do release, our focus will be on a security release and fixing
known vulnerabilities in Mediawiki and Wikibase. Based on our current
assessment, those vulnerabilities will have a limited impact on Wikibase
Suite users, i.e. users of manual installs or container images. Therefore
we will publish the security updates a bit later than usual.
In the summer, we expect to do the next feature release, which will bring
Wikibase in line with the MediaWiki releases again. Moving forward we then
intend to go back to releasing in sync with MediaWiki.
Cheers,

Are there any document that contains the mapping of Wikidata Data Model into a Wikibase relational schema?
I want know, for example, if Item is mapped to one relational table of MariaDB and Property to another one or if both are mapped to only one table (as Entity), if ItemDescriptions has a separate table, how many tables support the Statement structure, including references and qualifiers, which column datatype is used to represent an IRI, and so on. Or even if the entire model is stored as a JSON document, one for each entity.
