Note of discovery, info and clarification:
I said I had 9 DVD's. Actually I have three sets of 3 different ones. "Disk 1" covers most of the performance. "Disk 2" completes the performance and also contains "Interviews and photographs (with music underneath)". I think the photography is super. It is a very nostalgic trip. The interviews are of course great: Mary, Alice, Joy. Disk 3 is composed of photographs. So I can send one set to Gail, since she was the first to respond. I am sending the other set to a foundation to raise money. And I am keeping one set for myself. So what we have to do (and I will address it first) is contact Trey about getting other sets to those who do not have them. Do those of you who responded "I have got mine" get all three? Please let me know.
"Early on we agreed to pay Trey (aka Curtis) $10 bucks per DVD and $1000 for filming. He says now he will reduce the $1000 fee. Don't as yet know how much. But we will together have to cover that.
Doc
I got all three -- thanks,

Hey gang --
I'm looking at ways that Sh at W can take over the second stage of this process. I wrote Curtis about it today, offering to take all the masters off his hands and add them to the Winedale archive (in this case, my office) and handle any further requests for copies. My hunch was that he was already deep into new projects and was ready to clear the shelves and move on, even if it meant losing some potential income on selling extra copies. He generously stated that he really only wanted to cover his costs; I replied that we wanted to make sure he was properly compensated for his hard work.
I suggested he let Doc know his adjusted flat rate fee, so we could make sure he was paid for that. And any of us who have received sets already should go ahead and send in our $10 per set (I owe him for two, I'm pretty sure).
Once I figure out how I can do copies (I'm hoping to make this something that Sh at W does through the Liberal Arts ITS, but I need to clear that with James; if it comes to it, I'll just figure a way to make the copies here and you can just reimburse me that cost), I'll give you a holler to see who needs what.
I'm probably as busy as Curtis (our filmmaker, not Grumio's helper), but you DO know how to track me down (I'll eagerly return any of your phone calls, any chance to chat), and I expect I can get this cranking sometime within a few weeks. So hang in there.... in the meantime, I did order one extra set, so I'm going to send that off to Mike first, since he asked me months ago about sending him a set to copy.
best,
cs

Got mine yesterday-3 disks. I'm standing ready to send check once a number is arrived at.
Took the dogs for a walk in our local park this morning early, cool and misty, and I had a sudden pang thinking about our last morning in Shelby, thick with mist and so beautiful, and so not wanting to leave. Aaaaah.
Looking forward to being reunited with all of you through the miracle of electrons...

I see, said the blind man. I initially thought it would be one CD $10 and ordered 2 = $20. Actually I owe another $40.. I think. Should I go ahead and send Trey a check or join the foundation?

It is supposed to be a definitive, cogent, and clear explanation of how the global economic meltdown of 2008 occurred and why we are still living the crisis everyday. There are more villains in this movie than in all of Shakespeare. It is our hope that the movie also entertains but it seems to make people mad as hell more than anything else. But hat at least seems good for business as we are currently on 250 screens in America (which is a lot for a documentary). That's the skinny. m

All this movie talk reminds me: any of you NYC people up for a pint or two Saturday afternoon/evening? I have to head out to Brooklyn at some point but will be in Manhattan in the afternoon.

Congrats to Michael! Wowee-wow-wow!
As for Kozy and the NYC-ers, I'm filled with longing that I can't pub-out with you, too.
Can't wait to get a dvd--ready to send bucks for it. Maybe all of us Austinites should share in a screen debut? We could dress up fancy and strut a red carpet.
BTW, my theater collective (http://weirdsisterscollective.com/) is teaming up with random friends and strangers to throw a Holiday Sweater party at my house on Dec. 4. Y'all don your sparkly sweaters and come! Look for the evite.
Love to all, Susan

Not SO! I remember a, what was it, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon moment at the Oscars with you on stage, not even crouching.

Congratulations Mike!! We wait with anticipation for your appearance onstage to assist in accepting the gold statue. Doc, If you say it's good, I know it's good. Whew! What a relief. Can't wait to see it.
Two pieces of good news on the same day. The other is the documentary we produced, Inside Job, has just been short listed for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. The day is rockin'. m

I’m like Joy, and paid for one DVD plus postage, i.e. $15. Would LOVE to have the 3 DVD set. Will follow the first leader in my camp. Xo Alice

I see, said the blind man. I initially thought it would be one CD $10 and ordered 2 = $20. Actually I owe another $40.. I think. Should I go ahead and send Trey a check or join the foundation?

Doc, et al: It's no surprise that I got confused over the money for the tapes; however, that being said, I thought Trey did a grand job and am more than happy to pay my share of the agreed upon $1,000. When you come up with the amount due, just let me know. I'll pitch in extra if needed. Love to all!
