I'm with Bruce! The performance is the orange sauce; the day-to-day is the duck.

Doc not sure if you are asking for opinions, but here is mine anyway... I would say that I am fine with having someone else film the "special footage". From my perspective, I would like to hear and preserve candid conversation and personal connection, not merely the "performance". For me, it has always been about the process and the people and not what we do in front of the audience....

Hi Doc,
I have a big film shoot in Washington DC on August 11th,12th, and 13th. I have the Winedale shoot down for the 12, 13, and 14th of August. Obviously there is a two day overlap. I will not be able to
video Winedale alumni activities on the 12th and 13th of August personally. Depending on what you and the others want in the special
footage I could get someone to video for me on those days. I am assuming the actual performance is on Saturday the 14th. If so, I can still personally video that. So our first option is to cut the two days of special footage (12th, 13th) and just have the performance on the DVD. The second option would be for me to get someone else to video special footage (12th, 13th) and I video the performance on Saturday the 14th. The third option would be for the
alumni group to video each other. I can take that video and mix it into the DVD. I will adjust our cost for what ever we diced on. It will most likely be less now that I can only be there for one day. I
will understand if you and the others want to go with someone that can produce the hole thing in its entirety. Just let me know what you think. I am sorry about this. I just found out about this other
project in Washington DC today at work. Curtis Trey Leitko

We all all agreeable with your contract. We will pay you $1000 for the project. For that we would like 21 DVD's (one for each person performing). We are willing to pay $10.00 for each of those. Some more bucks for you. Further, I could in advance of the reunion, advertise the sale of your DVD to other former students attending. There will likely be 15-200. Would $10 be satisfactory for those later sales?

I am planing on a three day shoot; August 12 through the 14. The deliverable will include ond DVD with the performance and one
with
extra footage/interviews. If I factor in all my hours and
equipment
the cost of production will be 2,000. I will do it for you at
half
rate. So 1,000. I could charge a resonable rate on the DVDs and
have
the rest covered by Windale or we could spread the cost out over
all
DVD sales (25 DVDs @ $40). I will be ready to work on it buy
shoot
day. Tell me what you think about the cost.
